Grading: Each chapter will be accompanied by a test covering the chapter's material. Along with tests there will be other grades including quizzes, projects, papers, class participation and group assignments. The grading scale is listed below for each of these assignments:
Tests: Tests will consist of a combination of multiple choice, short answer, and essay questions.
Quizzes: Quizzes may be given after an assigned reading as a way to asses the student's knowledge of the content. Projects: I want to encourage the creativity of my students by assigning projects they will create and present to the class. Papers: The students will be assigned at least one research paper for the year. They will have plenty of provided class time to do the research and ask any questions they might have during the assigned time. Class Participation: (If school allows) Many things affect classroom participation points. Such things as being on time to class, interacting in classroom discussions, bell ringer/in-class assignments, and being respectful to one another all contribute to overall class participation points. A: 90.0-100.0%
B: 80.0-89.9%
C: 70.0-79.9%
D: 60.0-69.9%
